Fire Sale!

After the 3 season rebuild, the team was not able to make it back to League I. Team management has decided to run a Fire Sale, in which, all the players above 23 years old (with the exception of Theo Gossard at 24) will be sold off to the highest bidder.
A total of 20 stars will be sold off.
Bidding has already begun and looks promising, with the total sell to push the teams money around 1 billion dollars.

Team management will look to buy young , high quality players from around the world in another attempt to make it back to League I and stay for good.

The rebuild will probably take 5+ seasons and will know the Wasphawks down into the III Leagues and possibly into the IV league.

Team Manager Iri stated, "the team will sorely miss these great Wasphawk players, many of which hold individual records for the team, and have played here their whole careers."

Captain C.Liu - 81 total points, 61 total goals, 179 shots, 34.1 shooting %
E.Katz - 34 penalty minutes

New Team Plan..

After a surprising promotion to League I of the USA and a quick demotion. Team management sold all the old superstar players of the team. Adkaz had seen his last game between the pipes as a Wasphawk. Palacios, Brabec, Conneff, VW, Guilio, Kozlik, Kym Myshkin, and Sandis along with Adzak were sold to the highest bidder.

Along with Superstar YS pull Ned Devalle (Future NTer and sold for right around 400 mil) the Wasphawks were on a rebuilding plan that would take3 seasons, a demotion to League III.1, a promotion to League II.1 and a stunning first round upset over the Scarlet Pups.

Made up of mainly young US players from the Wasphawks YS, the team has matured to a contender in the II league. The YS has been very impressive pulling:

Slininger 100Q
Keenan 99Q
Gossard 98Q
Liu 95Q
Beal 90Q

The team has been excelling. This season has been the best the team has seen with 3 great pulls in a row landing:

Guerrero 96Q 100AI 19y/o
Beaty 93Q 108AI 19y/o (now 113AI and 20)
Randolph 93Q 87P (unscouted) 51AI 17y/o
Burgess 91Q 78P 82AI 18y/o

The team will be keeping all great pulls from here on out.

The team has also released a new logo:

New Sweaters This Season and a New Logo

The team unveiled its new team logo and jerseys sporting the new logo.
In an attempt to toughen up the team went from the traditional white
to a solid black with bright colored logo. The logo includes the team
mascot Earl the Wasphawk Bird from earlier logos. Management believes
this will increase market sales, especially for the new star players
on the team.

4 New Players acquired, 6 Old Players Sold

The offseason frenzy continued this week with the Wasphawks
selling Gints, Niedert, Martel, Jakubik and team original Jared
Newell. Management decided to sell Newell due to his age closing
in on UFA. The team believed it could only keep 1 original
between Newell and Herbert. Herberts commitment to the team and
potential left gave the team an easy choice. Though Newell was
a fan favorite, management believes the 30 mil received for him,
will let the team pick up a younger and better player to fill
his skates.

acquisitions this week helped shore up the D-line with IngoM. and
22 Y/O Scott Connell.
Both will improve defense as the team pushes to promote this season.
Connell will anchor the #1 D-line with Ingo. This will push Matej
Podgorsšek to play aside 20 Y/O Kozlik on the #2 Line.

Alsoacquiredd is Eeli Vuotinen and Veteran Adolf Sojer to fill in the 3rd line on offense.

These moves are aimed to help the team in the future and immediately.

Wasphawks Tie Series With Kinghill..

After a close 4-3 OT loss at the yellow dome,
the Wasphawks come home and demolish the Sharks 7-2.
Management believes the win came from many changes.
First of all, the "Kill A Shark Night" was a complete success!
Arne Peterman, Assistant to the Assistant to the Assistant
behind the main ticket sales guy claims, "even though we
only sold about half of the tickets, those who came enjoyed
themselves!" The team played well at home and after the
Sharks lost their starting goalie and a star defenseman it
just added to the intensity of the team.

Next up a deciding game 3 on the road, where the Wasphawks look to
move into the second round of the playoffs for the third straight
time. On a historical not the Wasphawks have made the playoffs
every full season they have played, the count now 5 straight seasons.

Wasphawks Fan Base Reaches Milestone..

After getting into the playoffs, the Wasphawks fan base hits record 3020. Management is very excited for next season!
